While the opening books were genuinely full of child-like joy and adventure this one upped the ante considerably. If the previous book had a slightly harder edge this took that further and added more depth and sophistication. This is the book where I think JK Rowling really decided to get a bit more serious. With its message of hope, belonging and the enduring power of truth and love, the story of the Boy Who Lived continues to delight generations of new listeners.
